ForgeNest's primary production configuration has reached full operational status. The system is now capable of forging metal parts up to 300 pounds with a complete AI-driven workflow from digital design to finished component.
This milestone represents the culmination of over two years of development, integrating our proprietary metamorphic tooling with real-time deformation sensing and adaptive toolpath generation. The system operates with minimal human intervention — an operator loads stock material and initiates the job; the AI handles the rest.
Key capabilities now online include:
- --Full closed-loop deformation control with sub-millimeter accuracy
- --Real-time thermal management across the entire forging envelope
- --Automated tool changeover between forming operations
- --On-line part qualification using integrated metrology
The production cell is housed at our St. Louis facility and is currently running qualification parts for defense and energy sector customers. Initial throughput data shows a 60% reduction in lead time compared to conventional open-die forging for equivalent geometries.
This system serves as the reference architecture for our planned deployable configurations, including the Conex-box form factor expeditionary system currently in design.
